The british mezzo-soprano SARAH CONNOLLY studied Piano and Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music. Opera roles include: Fricka (Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Bayreuther Festspiele), Brangäne (Covent Garden, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Glyndebourne-Festival), Composer and Clairon (Metropolitan Opera New York), Giulio Cesare (Glyndebourne), Ariodante (Aix-en-Provence), Dido (Mailänder Scala und Covent Garden), Orfeo (Bavarian State Opera, Munich), Phèdre (Paris), Maria Stuarda and Roméo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Opera North), Octavian (Scottish Opera), Gräfin Geschwitz (English National Opera), Jocaste (Covent Garden), Ariodante (Amsterdam), Nerone in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Enescu Festival), Gertrude in Hamlet (Glyndebourne), Brangäne (Barcelona). In the near future, she will perform in London and at the New York Met. She has also given recitals in London, New York, London, Barcelona, Glyndebourne, Edinburgh and Paris, to name but a few. She is also a successful concert singer, and has performed in Salzburg, Lucerne and Tanglewood, amongst others.
