
Alaia Rogers-Maman
Alaia Rogers-Maman was born in Los Angeles and trained at The Art of Classical Ballet under Magaly Suárez. She continued her education at the Royal Ballet Upper School in London. At the 2011 Youth America Grand Prix she won the silver medal and in 2012 she was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne. From 2014 to 2020 Alaia Rogers-Maman was engaged at the Vienna State Ballet, where she acquired a large repertoire. She danced, among others, the pastoral in Rudolf Nureyev’s »The Nutcracker«, a Spanish dancer in Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Jiří Kyliánʼs »Symphony of Psalms« and in works by Frederick Ashton, George Balanchine, Edward Clug, John Cranko, William Forsythe, Manuel Legris, Kenneth MacMillan, John Neumeier, Marius Petipa, Jerome Robbins, and Elena Tschernischova. After a season with the Royal Swedish Ballet, where she was dancing a big swan in Nureyev’s »Swan Lake« and a solo in his »Raymonda«, she will return to the Vienna State Ballet in the 2021/22 season.
