In 2010 Patrick Lange made his debut with Puccini's »Madama Butterfly« at the Vienna State Opera and has been a regular guest there since then. His celebrated debut with Mahler's »Lied von der Erde« in John Neumeier's choreography at the Opéra national de Paris in 2015 was followed by regular re-invitations. Further engagements led Patrick Lange to, among others, the Semperoper Dresden, London’s Covent Garden, the Opera Australia Sydney, the Zurich Opera House, the Canadian Opera Company Toronto, the Korean National Opera Seoul and the opera houses in Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Strasbourg. His debut with the Dutch Radio Filharmonisch Orkest in January 2021 with a concert production of Janáček’s »Jenůfa« at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam was followed by further appearances with this orchestra. Another highlight was his debut at the Bavarian State Opera in July 2021 as part of the Munich Opera Festival with Wagner's »Das Rheingold«.
Among the orchestras Patrick Lange has worked with are the Bamberg Symphony, the Essen Philharmonic, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the SWR and WDR Symphony Orchestras and the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra. He will return to the Vienna State Opera in 2022/23 for the premiere of »Sleeping Beauty« as well as conducting »Die Fledermaus« and the ballet programme »Im siebten Himmel«, whose premiere he had already conducted in 2021. His further projects include Wagner's »Der fliegende Holländer« at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Stravinsky's »The Firebird« and Mahler's »Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen« at the Opéra national de Paris as well as Weber's »Freischütz« at the Theater an der Wien.
