Erika Kováčová

Erika Kováčová was born in Malacky (Slovakia). She was educated at the Dance Conservatory Bratislava. Since 2004 she is a member of the Vienna State Ballet. Her most important roles comprise the evil fairy Carabosse in Peter Wrightʼs »The Sleeping Beauty«, Madame Larina in John Crankoʼs »Onegin«, Rosaline in Crankoʼs »Romeo and Juliet«, Åse in Edward Clugʼs »Peer Gynt«, Maria Theresia in Patrick de Banaʼs »Marie Antoinette«, Queen and Spanish Dancer in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, gipsy (soloist) in Nureyev’s »Don Quixote«, Pas de Forbans in Manuel Legrisʼ »Le Corsaire«, Jiří Kyliánʼs »Bella Figura«, Nils Christeʼs »Before Nightfall«, András Lukácsʼ »White Pas de deux« and »Movements to Stravinsky« and parts in Davide Bombanaʼs »Ballett: Carmen«, Stephan Thossʼ »Blaubarts Geheimnis«, Patrick de Banaʼs »Windspiele«, Frederick Ashtonʼs »La Fille mal gardée«, George Balanchineʼs »Symphonie in C« and »Jewels« (Diamonds), Twyla Tharpʼs »Variationen über ein Thema von Haydn«, John Neumeierʼs »Josephs Legende«, »Le Pavillon d’Armide« and »Le Sacre«.
