Ana María Martínez

The grammy award winner ANA MARÍA MARTÍNEZ studied at Juilliard School and in Houston and is a prize winner of numerous international competitions. In recent times, she sang Mimì and Cio-Cio-San at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Rusalka and Donna Elvira at the Lyric Opera Chicago, Mimì at the Dallas Opera and the Opéra National de Paris, Paolina in Poliuto in Glyndebourne, Nedda in Pagliacci and Cio-Cio-San at the Los Angeles Opera, Musetta and Cio-Cio-San at the Metropolitan Opera New York, Rusalka and Marguerite in Faust at the Houston Grand Opera, Donna Elvira in Amsterdam and Elisabetta at the San Francisco Opera. She is also regularly on the concert stage and works with the most important conductors and can look back on a large list of recordings. At the Wiener Staatsoper, she gave her debut in 1998 as Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and also sang in the house on the ring Mimì, Micaela, Liù, Cio-Cio-San and Pamina.
