The american mezzo soprano KATE LINDSEY was born in Richmond, Virginia, and studied at the Indiana University. She completed the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program of the Metropolitan Opera. Highlights of the last season include among others Sesto (La clemenza di Tito) at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Muse/Nicklausse (Les Contes d’Hoffmann) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) at the Metropolitan Opera, Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos) at the Seattle Opera and Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) at the San Francisco Opera. She also sang as Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas at the Salzburg Festival 2015. Futhermore, Kate Lindsey has been a guest at the Santa Fe Opera, the Los Angeles Opera, the Opéra de Lille, the Bayerischen Staatsoper and the Glyndebourne Festival. In 2015/2016, she was among others Cherubino and Lazuli in L’Étoile at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and as Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel at the De Nationale Opera in Amsterdam. Furthermore, she could be heard as Dorabella in Aix-en-Provence as well as a concert performance of La Favorite at the Concert Opera in Washington and in concerts at the Rheingau Festival and the Mostly Mozart Festivals in New York.
