
Canadian tenor JOHN TESSIER, Juno award winner, is considered to be one of the most important singers of his generation. Among his most important roles are for example Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Narraboth in Salome, Conte d’Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Tonio in La Fille du régiment, the leading role in La clemenza di Tito, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, Steuermann in Der fliegende Holländer, Ferrando in Così fan tutte, Fenton in Falstaff, Elvino in La sonnambula, Lindoro in L’italiana in Algeri, David in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Ramiro in La cenerentola, Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore. To this day, he has performed among others at the Royal Opera Covent Garden in London, at the Teatro Colón, the Washington National Opera, the New York City Opera, at the Mostly Mozart Festival, the Opera Frankfurt, the English National Opera, at the Verbier-Festival, the Nederlandse Opera, the Minnesota Opera and several other international houses. Current performances include among others Lindoro at the Calgary Opera, Lord Arturo in Boston, Castor (Castor et Pollux) in Paris, Nadir (Les Pêcheurs de perles) in London. At the Wiener Staatsoper, he gave his debut as Tonio and also sang Conte d’Almaviva and Lord Arturo.
