Albina Shagimuratova

ALBINA SHAGIMURATOVA was born in Taschkent and studied among others in Moscow. Already during her studies in Moscow, she became a soloist at the Moscow Stanislawski and Nemirovich-Danchenko-Theatres. She found international recognition when she won the gold in the Tschaikowsky Competition in Moscow. Performances have led her among others to the New York Metropolitan Opera (Queen of the Night, Lucia di Lammermoor, Konstanze), the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London (Queen of the Night, Donna Anna, Aspasia), the Bolschoi in Moscow (Violetta, Lucia), the Milan Scala (Queen of the Night, Lucia), the Paris Opera (Queen of the Night, Konstanze), to Glyndebourne (Donna Anna), to the Lyric Opera Chicago (Gilda, Lucia), the Bayerische Staatsoper (Donna Anna, Queen of the Night, Konstanze), to the NHK-Hall in Tokyo (Donna Anna),  the Mariinskij-Theatre in St. Petersburg (Lucia) and to the BBC Proms (Semiramide). At the Wiener Staatsioer, Albina Shagimuratova gave her debut in 2010 as the Queen of the Night and has also sung Musetta here.
