Franziska Wallner-Hollinek

Born in Vienna. She was educated at Ballet School of Österreichische Bundestheater as well as at Royal Ballet School and at the National Hungarian Institute of Ballet. In 1995 she joined the Wiener Staatsopernballett. From 2000 to 2002 she was a member of Royal Danish Ballet after what she returned to Wiener Staatsopernballett. In 2011 she was appointed Demi-soloist of the Wiener Staatsballett.

Her repertory comprises Carlotta in Renato Zanella’s „Kadettenball“, Kitris Freundin and Zigeunerin in Rudolf Nureyev’s „Don Quixote“, Edelfräulein, Polnischer and Ungarischer Tanz (soloist) in Nureyev’s „Schwanensee“, Mutter and Russischer Tanz in Nureyev’s "Der Nussknacker", Grand Pas in Vladimir Malakhov’s „Die Bajadere“, Fee der Lebhaftigkeit and Pas de quatre in Peter Wright’s „Dornröschen“, Lises Freundin in Frederick Ashton’s „La Fille mal gardée“, Gräfin Capulet and Zigeunerin in John Cranko’s „Romeo und Julia“, Amme in Cranko’s „Onegin“, Phebe in John Neumeier’s „Wie es Euch gefällt“, Polnisches Mädchen in „Coppélia“ from Gyula Harangozó sen., Frau Stahlbaum in Gyula Harangozó’s „Der Nussknacker“, Spanien in Renato Zanella’s „Der Nussknacker“, Sommer in Zanella’s „Aschenbrödel“, Pemba in Zanella’s „Spartacus“, Ungar in Josef Hassreiter’s „Die Puppenfee“, Pas de Forbans in Manuel Legris’ „Le Corsaire“, Berthe in Elena Tschernischova’s „Giselle“, Zofe in Frederick Ashton’s „Marguerite and Armand“, Åse, Peer Gynts Mutter, in Edward Clug’s „Peer Gynt“ as well as roles in Léonide Massine’s „Der Dreispitz“, George Balanchine’s „Apollo“ and „Symphonie in C“,, Serge Lifar’s "Suite en blanc", Renato Zanella’s „Empty Place“ and „Alles Walzer“, Jerome Robbins’ „The Concert“ and „The Four Seasons“, John Neumeier’s „Bach Suite III“, „Le Pavillon d’Armide“ and „Verklungene Feste“, Jiří Kylián’s „Sechs Tänze“, William Forsythe’s “The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude“, Jean-Christophe Maillot’s "Vers un Pays Sage", Stephan Thoss’ „Blaubarts Geheimnis“, Alexander Ekman’s "Cacti" and Edwaard Liang’s „Murmuration“. In Ivan Cavallari’s „Tschaikowski Impressionen“ and Andrey Kaydanovskiy’s „Der Feuervogel“ she created a role.

For the serial „Junge Choreographen“ she created her first choreography in 1999: „Der Weg ist das Ziel“. Another choreography was created in Copenhagen.
