The soprano KRISTIN LEWIS comes from Little Rock, Arkanas/USA and studied among others at the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Tennessee. She is a multiple prize-winner of international competitions. She has performed at the most significant music theatres like the Scala, the Opéra de Paris, the Staatsoper im Schillertheater Berlin, the Arena di Verona, the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Bavarian Staatsoper, the Mariinskij-Theater, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Puccini-Festival Torre del Lago, the Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden, the Teatro La Fenice as well as the NHK Hall in Tokyo. Her roles include Aida, Leonora (Trovatore), Elisabetta, Amelia (Ballo in maschera), Nedda, Mimì, Maddalena (Andrea Chénier), Liù, Rose Dead Man Walking and Donna Anna. In 2014, she founded the Kristin Lewis Foundation to put the spotlight on young talented musicians. Among her other activities, Kristin Lewis is active in humanitarian work. She was recently appointed Consul of the Red Cross Austria. At the Wiener Staatsoper she gave her debut as Aida and also sang Amelia.
