Elza van den Heever
Soprano singer ELZA VAN DEN HEEVER was born in Johannesburg (South Africa) and studied at the Conservatory in San Francisco. In 2008 she won the international Wagner competition of the Seattle Opera. She for example achieved great success as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and as Elisabetta (Maria Stuarda) at the New York Metropolitan Opera, in the title role of Norma, as Elettra, Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Anna Bolena and Leonora (Il trovatore) in Bordeaux, as Ellen Orford at the English National Opera, as Elsa (Lohengrin) at the Zürcher Oper, as Desdemona (Otello), Suor Angelica, Giorgetta (Il tabarro), Elisabetta (Don Carlo), Elsa, Vitellia (La clemenza di Tito), Antonia (Les Contes d‘Hoffmann) and Elettra (Idomeneo) at the Frankfurter Oper, as Elsa at the Bayerische Staatsoper, as Agathe at the Theater an der Wien, as Fiordiligi at the Pariser Oper, as Donna Anna and Giselda (I Lombardi) at the Hamburgische Staatsoper, as Alcina at the Chicago Lyric Opera, as Fiordiligi in Dallas, as Leonora at the Canadian Opera Company, as Elisabetta (Don Carlo) in Strasbourg. Future engagements for example include Norma in Toronto, Elvira (Ernani) in Frankfurt, Elettra at the New York Metropolitan Opera and Norma at the Dallas Opera.
