Pavol Breslik

The career of tenor PAVOL BRESLIK began in 2005 when critics of the magazine "Opernwelt" elected him the “Newcomer of the Year”. Between 2003 and 2006 he was a member of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin. Since 2006 he is self-employed, he has performed at the Metropolitan Opera and the big european opera houses and festivals. At the Wiener Staatsoper, he sang  Lenski, Nemorino and Alfredo, at the Bayerischen Staatsoper Gennaro (Lucrezia Borgia), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Tamino, Idamante, Nemorino, Cassio and Alfredo. At the ROH Covent Garden he performed as Lenski, Ferrando and Tamino and will return as Don Ottavio. He has been a guest at the Paris Opera, Liceu Barcelona, Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie, the Berliner Staatsoper, the Salzburg Festspielen and in Geneva. Since 2012, he is a member of the Opera in Zurich, and recently gave his succesful debut as Nadir in the Opera Sydney. His future plans include among others Hans (Verkaufte Braut - in Munich, Dresden and Brussels), Leicester (Maria Stuarda) in Zurich, Morosus (Schweigsame Frau) and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) in Munich, Romeo in Hobart as well as returning to the festivals in Aix-en-Provence and Munich.
