Jan Joris Lamers

Dutch Jan Joris Lamers is an actor, director, teacher and stage designer. He studied acting at the Amsterdam Toneelschool from 1960 to 1962, followed by directorial studies at the same school from 1966 to 1969. After various stays abroad, he taught at the Amsterdam Rijksnormaalschool voor tekenaars and the Rijksakademie. Lamers was involved in the founding of several theater companies, including Het Werkteater, Onafhankelijk Toneel and Maatschappij Discordia, as well as Belgisch Nederlandsche Repertoirevereeniging de Veere and Dertien Rijen.
