Iain Paterson is one of the most sought-after heroic baritones of our time.

In the 2021/22 season he will once again take on the role of the Wanderer in Siegfried at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The Bavarian State Opera in Munich has engaged the baritone as Balstrode in Britten's Peter Grimes. The Vienna State Opera presents the artist as Kurwenal in Tristan und Isolde. At the Bayreuth Festival in recent years, he was acclaimed as Kurwenal in Katharina Wagner's production of Tristan und Isolde under Christian Thielemann. There he also thrilled as Rheingold-Wotan under Marek Janowski.
The BBC Proms presented Paterson with the Staatskapelle Berlin under Daniel Barenboim. Schoenberg's Gurre-Lieder took him to the Edinburgh Festival with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Donald Runnicles. The Hallé Orchestra has repeatedly invited him for concerts.
