Recent appearances include Hunding (Die Walküre) at the Bayreuth Festival, return to Rome Opera as Talbot in Verdi's Giovanna d'Arco, Escamillo (Carmen) at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre, Dossifei (Khovanshchina) at the Paris Opera. Current or future performances include Doctor (Wozzeck), Hunding, Fafner (Das Rheingold, Siegfried) and Hagen (Götterdämmerung) at the Vienna State Opera, Zaccaria (Nabucco) in Zurich and Madrid, Philip II.
