Davide Luciano
Italian baritone Davide Luciano was born into a musical family in Benevento, Italy. In the 2017/18 season, Davide’s engagements include his role debut as Conte in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO for the Opéra national de Rhin, Strasbourg; he then appears as Conte for the Deutsche Oper, Berlin, returning later in the season as Don Giovanni and as Don Profondo in a new production of IL VIAGGIO A REIMS; in January 2018 Davide makes his debut at the Metropolitan Opera, New York as Belcore in L’ELISIR D’AMORE; he appears at the 2018 Tanglewood Festival as Schaunard in LA BOHÈME with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Andris Nelsons and as Figaro in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA in new productions for the Teatro Regio, Torino and for the Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro. Davide was a member of the Accademia Rossiniana at the Rossini Opera Festival in 2014, he has made regular appearances at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin in the title role of Don Giovanni; Figaro in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA; Marcello in LA BOHÈME; Belcore in L’ELISIR D’AMORE; Cecil in MARIA STUARDA and as Nottingham in concert performances of ROBERTO DEVEREUX. Other engagements include the title role of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO for the Teatro Real, Madrid and the Glyndebourne Festival; Leporello in DON GIOVANNI for Den Norske Opera, Oslo and for the Municipal Theatre of São Paolo; Figaro in IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA for the Teatro de la Maestranza, Sevilla; Semperoper Dresden; Terme di Caracalla, Roma and at La Fenice, Venice; Malatesta in DON PASQUALE for La Fenice; Guglielmo in COSÌ FAN TUTTE for Den Norske Opera; Don Alvaro in IL VIAGGIO A REIMS for the Royal Danish Opera; Silvio in PAGLIACCI in São Paolo; Gernando in L’ISOLA DISABITATA (Jommelli) for the Teatro San Carlo, Napoli and as Pacuvio in LA PIETRA DEL PARAGONE for the Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris. Recently he was Guglielmo and Count Almaviva at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, Marcello (La BOHEME) at the Bavarian State Opera and in Monte Carlo, Belcore (L’ELISIR D’AMORE) at La Scala in Milan, Riccardo (I PURITANI) and Silvio (PAGLIACCI) in Naples, as well as Ford (FALSTAFF) in Valencia. Davide Luciano will sing L'ELISIR D'AMORE in Vienna, New York and Mahon, MADAMA BUTTERFLY in New York and Munich, DON GIOVANNI in Liege, L’ELISIR D’AMORE in New York.
