Amanda Eyles

Amanda Eyles has worked as a rehearsal director, ballet mistress, set designer and choreologist for the Benesh Movement Notation for 35 years. In the UK she has worked with companies such as Royal Ballet London, Birmingham Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Rambert and Richard Alston Dance Company. Internationally, engagements have taken her to Dutch National Ballet, La Scala Milan, Opéra National de Bordeaux, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet, New York Theatre Ballet, Polish National Ballet and Shanghai Ballet. Amanda Eyles has worked closely with choreographer Wayne McGregor for over 10 years. She has assisted in all his creations with the Royal Ballet and restages his works with companies worldwide. From 2000 to 2001 she worked as an assistant director and teacher at the Benesh Institute at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and has since been actively involved with Benesh International. In season 2021/22 Amanda Eyles will restage Alexei Ratmansky’s »24 Préludes« with the Vienna State Ballet.
