Shino Takizawa

The pianist Shino Takizawa was born in Osaka and completed her studies at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. She won 1st prizes at renowned piano competitions such as the Sakai Piano Competition and the PTNA Piano Competition. From 2004 to 2011 she worked with the National Ballet of Japan, and since 2011 she has been engaged as a répétiteur for the Vienna State Ballet. She has also appeared as a soloist in the company’s performances at the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper Wien with piano concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, Edvard Grieg, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Piotr I. Tchaikovsky and Franz Liszt as well as the Adagio from »Große Sonate für das Hammerklavier« by Ludwig van Beethoven, among others. Shino Takizawa recorded the three CDs »Dramatic Music for Ballet Class« for the Japanese producer Shinshokan.
