Javier González Cabrera
The Australian Edward Cooper received his training at the Queensland Ballet School, the Australian Ballet School and from 2016 to 2019 at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. His most important teachers include Valeriy Anisimov, Wim Broeckx, Louise Deleur, Mikhail Skarkov and Nika Vyacheslavovna. In 2016 he took part in the Prix de Lausanne. His first permanent engagement led Edward Cooper to the Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg in the 2019/20 season, where he danced in works by George Balanchine, Martin Schläpfer and Remus Şucheană. Since September 2020 he has been a member of the Corps the ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. So far, he danced a page in Martin Schläpfer's world premiere of »The Sleeping Beauty«, Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée«, John Cranko's »Onegin«, Merce Cunningham's »Duets«, Jerome Robbins' »Glass Pieces« and »The Concert« as well as in Martin Schläpfer's world premieres of »4«, »Symphonie Nr. 15«, »In Sonne verwandelt« and »Die Jahreszeiten«. With »Etéreo« he presented his first own choreography at »Plattform Choreographie« of the Vienna State Ballet in June 2022.
