Najmiddin Mavlyanov

Tenor Najmiddin Mavlyanov is from Samarkand (Uzbekistan). From 1998-2002 he studied voice in his home town, graduating from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in 2006. He won first prizes in numerous national and international competitions, and was a soloist at Alisher Navoï Opera. Since 2010 he has been a member of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, where he débuted in the role of Don Alvaro (La forza del destino). This was followed by Alfredo (La Traviata), Don José (Carmen), Hoffmann (The Tales of Hoffmann), Edgardo (Lucia di Lammermoor), Rodolfo (La Bohème), the title role in Werther, Rossillon (The Merry Widow), Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), and Cavaradossi (Tosca). His repertoire includes roles such as Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Count Vaudémont (Iolanta), Manrico (Il Trovatore). Past seasons: 2015/16 Tosca in Helsinki, Rodolfo in Antwerp and Ghent, his successful début as Cavaradossi at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Khovanshchina, Il Trovatore and Tosca at the Mariinsky Theatre, the title role in Roméo et Juliette in Tel Aviv, La Traviata, Iolanta and La damnation de Faust at the Bolshoi Theatre. 2016/17: Hermann in a new production of Pique Dame in Moscow, Manrico at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Don Carlo and Adriana Lecouvreur at the Mariinsky Theatre, Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra in Antwerp, Ghent and Luxembourg, Radames and Don Carlo in Düsseldorf, Pinkerton in Tel Aviv. 2017/18: Radames in Hong Kong, Don Carlo and Iolanta at the Bolshoi Theatre, Iolanta in Rome and Hamburg, Simon Boccanegra, Adriana Lecouvreur, Don Carlo and Carmen at the Mariinsky Theatre, Cavaradossi at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Radames at the New National Theatre Tokyo, Cavaradossi at the Metropolitan Opera New York, Don José in Tel Aviv. 2018/19: Iolanta in Munich, Berlin, Lucerne and Budapest, Pierre Bezukhov in War and Peace in Moscow, Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana and Cavaradossi in Düsseldorf, Don José, Hermann and Don Carlo at the Bolshoi Theatre, Gabriele Adorno in Rimini, Macduff, Manrico, Don Carlo, Canio in I Pagliacci, Hermann and Pinkerton at the Mariinsky Theatre, Cavaradossi in Tel Aviv and Budapest. 2019/20: Macduff in Luxembourg and Ghent, Iolanta and the title role in a new production of Sadko at the Bolshoi Theatre, Radames, Pinkerton, Hermann and Sadko at the Mariinsky Theatre.
