The Slovak Martin Winter received his education at the Dance Conservatory of Eva Jacz and the Dance Conservatory Prague. His first engagement was in the Ballet of the National Theatre Prague. Since 2007 he is a member of the Vienna State Ballet. His large repertoire comprise, amongst others, Jiří Kylián’s »Petite Mort«, Tybalt in Davide Bombanaʼs »Roméo et Juliette«, title role in Thierry Malandainʼs »Don Juan«, Arabian Dance (solo) in Malandainʼs »Cendrillon (Aschenputtel)«, Faun in Boris Nebylaʼs »L'Après-midi d'un faune«, Fortuna and Husband in Vesna Orlićʼs »Carmina Burana«, Wesir in Orlićʼs »Tausendundeine Nacht« and András Lukácsʼ »Bolero«. He created his first own choreographies for »Young Choreographers« of the Ballettclub Wiener Staatsoper & Volksoper with »DONʼT Know« (2012) and »Outside In« (2017). In 2018 he choreographed »When Tears Fall« for »Young Choreographers« of the Noverre-Gesellschaft Stuttgart. His work »Not Another Now« for the Vienna State Ballet planned to be performed in June 2020, unfortunately couldnʼt take place due to the COVID-19-pandemia.
