Evgenia Muraveva

Russian soprano EVGENIA MURAVEVA was born in St. Petersburg and studied at Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in her hometown. The artist has won several awards (e.g. at the Sergei Rachmaninoff All-Russian Competition, the All-Russian Bella Voce Competition Moscow and Boris Shtokolov International Vocal Competition). From 2007 to 2011, she was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers. In 2010, she joined St. Petersburg Chamber Opera’s ensemble, where she has recently sung parts like Nedda and Tosca. At Mariinsky Theatre, she has portrayed Salome, Lisa (The Queen of Spades), Contessa d’Almaviva, Gutrune, the title role in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, and others. She has recently performed at Komische Oper Berlin (Tatyana) and Salzburg Festival (title role in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk), in Lyon (Elena/Margherita in Mefistofele) and Toulouse (Marietta/Marie in Die tote Stadt), at Teatro alla Scala (Emma in Khovanshchina), in Naples (Cio-Cio-San) and Palermo (Nedda). Upcoming projects include Tatyana at New National Theatre Tokyo, Tamara (Der Dämon) in Bordeaux and Amelia (Simon Boccanegra) at Hamburgische Staatsoper.
