Sinthia Liz
The Brazilian Sinthia Liz completed her training in 2014 at the Escola Estadual De Dança Maria Olenewa in Rio de Janeiro and during this time also gained her first stage experience in the Corps de ballet of the Theatro Municipal do Estado Rio de Janeiro. From 2015 to 2018, she danced as a scholarship holder of the Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung in the ensemble of the Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich under Ivan Liška in choreographies by George Balanchine, August Bournonville, Nacho Duato and Ray Bara as well as in the ensemble of the Bavarian State Ballet in, among others, works by John Neumeier, Marius Petipa and Christopher Wheeldon. From 2018 to 2020 she was a member of the Ballett am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg, where she was seen in works by Martin Chaix, Mark Morris, Martin Schläpfer and Remus Şucheană.
Since September 2020 Sinthia Liz has been a member of the Corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. For the 2024/25 season she was promoted to demi-soloist. Her Viennese repertoire includes the fairy Candide in Martin Schläpfer's world premiere of »The Sleeping Beauty«, First bridesmaid in Rudolf Nureyevʼs »Don Quixote« as well as parts in George Balanchine's »Jewels«, »Symphony in Three Movements«, »Symphony in C« and »Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet«, John Cranko's »Onegin«, Elena Tchernichova's »Giselle«, Pierre Lacotteʼs »Coppélia«, Heinz Spoerliʼs »Goldberg-Variationen«, John Neumeierʼs »Lady of the Camellias«, Rudolf Nureyevʼs »Swan Lake«, Michel Fokineʼs »Les Sylphides«, Uwe Scholzʼ »Jeunehomme«, Merce Cunningham's »Duets« and Paul Taylor's »Promethean Fire«. She was also casted for the world premieres of Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »lux umbra«, Adi Hananʼs »Eden« as well as Martin Schläpfer's »4«, Neue Pizzicato-Polka in »Marsch, Walzer, Polka« and »The Seasons«.
