Matinees & Director's portrait for U27
Matinees: Have you always wanted to know what a director of an opera thinks about when staging it? How a conductor interprets the score? The Sunday matinees moderated by Bogdan Roščić on the new productions of the Vienna State Opera answer all your questions - even before the premiere. You get an insight into the director's work, the singers reveal how they perceive their roles, and in between there is world-class musical entertainment.
Director's portrait: Directors of the new productions are introduced. They talk about their artistic path, central works and - of course - the current production. The directors explain their artistic perspectives and working methods and thus provide an illuminating glimpse into their workshop. Of course, the audience has the opportunity to ask questions.
Both types of events are free for everyone under 27 and held mainly in German.
How to get tickets:
For those under 27 years of age, one free ticket per person is available at the box office (also from one hour before the start of the introductory matinee), upon presentation of an ID. While stocks last.
