With a weekly Open Class the Vienna State Ballet offers professional dancers, dance teachers, and students as well as advanced amateurs (age 14 and above) the opportunity to take part in a top-class ballet training. Led by Martin Schläpfer, Louisa Rachedi, Samuel Colombet, and other members of the Vienna State Ballet the classical training takes place to live piano accompaniment.
Showers and changing rooms are available. Please come in comfortable clothing, slippers or socks and bring your own water bottle.
Due to the mixing of artists of the house with external persons and in order to continue to secure the work in our theatre, we ask for your understanding that the Covid-19 safety requirements apply and must be complied with as follows: you need to provide a PCR test (48 h), which must be valid for the entire duration of the training (date and time of test acceptance apply). Participants are no longer required to wear masks.
The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 15 people.
When: starting from 10 September, every Saturday (except on public holidays and during the summer break).
Entrance: 3.30 pm, Start: 4 pm
Duration: 90 minutes
Fee: € 20 per class
