Eivind Gullberg Jensen

Conductor EIVIND GULLBERG JENSEN was born in Norway in 1972 and initially studied violin and musicology in Trondheim (Norway) and later conducting in Stockholm and Vienna. Furthermore, he was participant in the Aspen Music Festival 2005 and completed master classes with Kurt Masur. He celebrated great success for example on the podium of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de France, the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne, the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie, the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. As opera conductor, he for example conducted Rusalka at the Roman Opera, Tosca at the New National Theatre Tokyo, The Rakés Progress at the Finnish National Opera, Turandot in Lucca, Fidelio at the Pariser Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, La Bohème and Eugen Onegin at the Norske Opera as well as Jenufa, Il tabarro and Djamileh at the English National Opera.
