MISHA DIDYK is one of the most internationally sought after tenors of his profession, in particular the Russian repertoire. In 2005, he gave his debut at the Milan Scala and at the San Francisco Opera as Hermann in Pique Dame. In 1999 he gave his debut in America, and in 2006 he sang Des Grieux in Manon Lescaut at the San Francisco Opera, a little later he sang Ruggero in La Rondine there. 2007/2008 he was successful in both the Milan Scala and the Berliner Staatsoper unter den Linden in Prokofiev's Spieler. In 2009, he gave his debut with great success at the Wiener Staatsoper as Sergej in Lady Macbeth von Mzensk, where he returned in 2011 in the local premiere of Totenhauses. Further engagements have brought him as Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) under the direction of Lorin Maazel in Valencia, as Des Grieux at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as Cavaradossi under Zubin Mehta in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and as Hermann and Andrei (Mazeppa) in Lyon; he also sang Hermann in the Liceu in Barcelona. In 2011, he gave his debut as Radames (Aida) at the Vlaamse Opera, in 2012 he sang Andrei Chowanski (Chowanschtschina) at the New York Metropolitan Opera, Cavaradossi at the Vlaamse Opera and Hermann in Zurich. Future performances are bringing him, among others, to the Bayerische Staatsoper and to Amsterdam.
