Roberto De Candia
Baritone ROBERTO DE CANDIA first studied the violoncello and then singing. After winning the international Adriano Belli competition, his international career took off, and he has regularly performed on the foremost stages of the world: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, ROH Covent Garden, New York Metropolitan Opera, Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Opéra national de Paris, Zurich Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Semperoper, Hamburgische Staatsoper, La Monnaie in Brussels, Rossini Festival in Pesaro, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, in Parma, Rome, Turin, Naples, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Barcelona. Current and future performances include Gianni Schicchi at Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, Rigoletto at Teatro Coccia in Novara, Dulcamara at Teatro Regio in Turin, Falstaff at New National Theatre Tokyo and Teatro Real in Madrid, and Giorgio Germont at Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. At Vienna State Opera, he debuted in 2007 as Barbiere-Figaro and sang Don Pasquale in 2018.
