MYRTÒ PAPATANASIU was born in Larissa (Greece) and her career has led the artist to stages such as the Bayerische and Berliner Staatsoper, the Züricher Opernhaus, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, to the Nederlandse Opera, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Wiener Volksoper, to New York, Genua, Verona, Montréal, Paris, Turin, Tokyo, Bologna, Edinburgh. Her repertoire includes roles such as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Konstanze (Entführung aus dem Serail), Vitellia (La clemenza di Tito), Violetta (La traviata), Alice (Falstaff), Nedda (Pagliacci) or the title role in Rusalka. In the past seasons she for example sang Donna Anna and Alcina in Stuttgart, Fiordiligi in Copenhagen, Rusalka in Brussels, Violetta in Dallas and Montréal. Current and future engagements include roles such as Donna Anna, Violetta, Fiordiligi at the Greek National Opera, Musetta at the New York Met, Donna Anna at the San Diego Opera, Violetta at the Royal Danish Opera, Donna Anna at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and Donna Elvira at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. She made her debut at the Wiener Staatsoper in 2011 as Donna Anna and has also sung Violetta and the title role in Alcina here.
