Born in Sverdlovsk/Yekaterinburg (Russia), Alena Klochkova graduated from the National Ballet School of Novosibirsk. From 1996 to 2005 she was a soloist of Michailowski Theatre in Saint Petersburg and from 2003 she performed as a guest dancer in various companies of Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Her repertory comprises main roles of the classical repertory. She has appeared as guest dancer, amongst others, in many European countries as well as in China. In 2007 she joined the Ballett der Wiener Staatsoper und Volksoper. In 2011 she was appointed Demi-soloist of the Wiener Staatsballett.
Her Viennese repertory comprises Solo-Sylphide in Pierre Lacotte’s "La Sylphide", Moyna and Bathilde in Elena Tschernischova’s „Giselle“, Solo-Schatten and Grand Pas in Vladimir Malakhov’s „Die Bajadere“, Königin der Dryaden in Rudolf Nureyev’s „Don Quixote“, Großer Schwan and Polnische Tänzerin in Nureyev’s „Schwanensee“, Die Mutter, Solo-Schneeflocke in Nureyev’s "Der Nussknacker", Fliederfee, Fee der Lebensfreude, Fee der Bescheidenheit and Herzogin in Peter Wright’s "Dornröschen", Hippolyta in Jorma Elo’s "Ein Sommernachtstraum", Maria Theresia in Patrick de Bana’s "Marie Antoinette", Pas de Bottes in Pierre Lacotte’s „Coppélia“, eine Pflegerin in John Neumeier’s „Le Pavillon d‘Armide“ as well as roles in Serge Lifar’s "Suite en blanc", Harald Lander’s "Études", Jerome Robbins' "In the Night", Jiří Kylián’s "Bella Figura", Rudolf Nureyev’s „Raymonda“ and Manuel Legris’ „Sylvia”.
