Gaetano Signorelli

Gaetano Signorelli was born in Genoa (Italy) and started his ballet training at the Scuola di Ballo del Teatro alla Scala. After moving to the Netherlands he graduated at the Dutch National Ballet School in Amsterdam. For two seasons he was been working with the Ballett Zürich in Switzerland. During that time he had the chance of dancing in many different contemporary productions such as Jiří Kylián’s »Un Ballo’«, Ohad Naharin’s »Minus 16’« and Cristal Pyte’s »Emergence«. A remarkable experience was being involved in the original cast of Marco Goecke’s creation of »Petrushka«. In 2018 he joined the Vienna State Ballet. His most important roles comprise the little shepherd in Manuel Legris’ »Sylvia«, Chinese Dance in »The Nutcracker« by Rudolf Nurejev and roles in Jiří Kylián’s »Symphony of Psalms«, William Forsythe’s »Artifact Suite«, András Lukács’ »Movements to Stravinsky«, Edward Clug’s »Peer Gynt«., Elena Tschernischova’s »Giselle«, Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, George Balanchine’s »Jewels« (Rubies, Diamonds), John Neumeier’s »Le Pavillon d‘Armide« and »Le Sacre«.
