SERENA MALFI studied singing at Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and made her debut as Ofelia in Antonio Salieri’s La grotta di Trofonio at Winterthur Festival in 2009. She was engaged to guest perform at Zurich Opera House, Bayerische Staatsoper, Teatro Comunale in Florence, Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro Real in Madrid and Opéra national de Paris. Her repertoire includes roles such as Dido (Dido and Aeneas), Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Annio (La clemenza di Tito), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and the leading role in La cenerentola. Most recently she sang Dorabella, Zerlina and Cherubino at the New York Metropolitan Opera, Rosina at Zurich Opera, Pippo (La gazza ladra) at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Cenerentola in Naples and Rome, Cherubino at Glyndebourne Festival and others. Future engagements will take her to Madrid, New York and London. In 2012 she debuted as Annio (La clemenza di Tito) at Vienna State Opera, where she has since also sung Cenerentola and Cherubino.
