On the September 3rd, 2016, the Wiener Staatsoper will open the new season with an Open Day, in which visitors have the possibility to take a look behind the scenes.
Free tickets are available from August 3rd at the Bundestheater ticket office, Operngasse 2, 1010 Vienna.
In his last, incomplete opera, Giacomo Puccini again touches the themes of love and death. Lise Lindstrom stars in the leading role, KS Johan Botha can be heard as Calaf, Dan Paul Dumitrescu sings Timur and Olga Bezsmertna can be heard as Liù. Conducted by: Marco Armiliato.
